Anxiety and Stress Disorders |
Severe Anxiety and Bipolar Disorder11/16/2006 |
I am currently on buspar for anxiety. I am unable to take antidepressants for anxiety, because I get a manic reaction. I don`t feel that buspar is effective enough for the severity of my anxiety. Do you have any recommendations on medications to treat anxiety, other than buspar?
There are many medications for anxiety, several of which are also used for Bipolar disorder. This is not an appropriate forum to give specific medical advice, however, so I encourage you to discuss with your psychiatrist (and to get a psychiatrist if you do not have one).
