Carcinod tumor in the liver

01/03/2007

Question:

What are the latest treatment for this type of cancer? Are there any treatment to stable the growth of new tumors?

Answer:

There are many treatment options for carcinoid and it depends on where it's located and the size of the tumor. You mention carcinoid of the liver. Did the tumor start in the liver or spread to the liver from somewhere else? The answer to that question would also influence the treatment options.

In general, surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy are the usual options.
