Farm Safety

Question:

My brother-in-law came close to being in a serious accident on his farm. I am concened because I feel that he doesn`t take the kinds of precautions he should. I`m not a farmer and have no idea where I could get information about farm safety. What do you feel are the best resources for this kind of information?

Answer:

I have copied a web link to OSU’s Great Lakes Center for Agricultural Safety and Health below. From this site you can access a number of resources, including the National Institute for Farm Safety. You could also go to the web site for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH - also copied below). The last link I have provided takes you to an agricultural injury site within NIOSH from which you can navigate to other Ag health and safety sites.
