How do they wire your jaw shut? Will there be scaring?
There are a few methods to achieve this. However, none of them will create scarring of any kind. All wiring methods basically place an appliance on the teeth with some sort of ligature around each tooth. Unless, the patient has no teeth, then skeletal anchoring is needed.
