Can a closed head injury cause a stroke 2 years later?
There are rare instances where head trauma can leave lasting damage to a blood vessel feeding the brain, and a blood clot can form on the damaged vessel wall to cause a stroke. This is very unlikely to occur once a patient is more than 6 months out from a trauma, because the body is able to "heal" the damaged vessel.
