Braces for my boys03/29/2007 |
I have two boys and they both need braces. The cost for the treatment for each one is about $5000. My insurance only covers $1000 for each one.Are there any government grants available in my area to help me pay for my children`s orthodontic treatment?
Often an orthodontist will discount someone if he/she has two children under treatment at the same time. I know I did that. Unfortunately, almost all insurance maximum for orthodontics is limited to $1000.00 per child. There are virtually no federal programs which fund this treatment, unless it involves a birth defect or there is a medicaid consideration. This means you have to fall under a certain annual income near the poverty line. Tell me what large city you live near, and I may have other suggestions.
