Can you explain this and what may or may not be done to prevent this and/or make it better in a person who has been diagnosed with this. My mother had an MRI and was told that she has these on her brain.
"Microinfarcts" is another term that typically refers to white matter changes or periventricular white matter changes or leukoariosis. I have written extensively in previous answers about the significance of white matter changes seen on imaging. Please refer to these answers.
