Joint pain04/06/2007 |
I have been diagnosed with hemochromatosis about a year and a half ago, i have had blabotomies and my iron levels have returned to normal. I have severe joint pains in my hips, shoulders, back, knees, Knees being the worst. My question is, with my iron levels down shouldn`t my joint pain subside? or is this pain something i have to live with? Doc gave me a cortizone shot yesterday and it really helps but im concerned of the side effects.
Although hemochromatosis is associated with arthritis, I would be concerned with another possible reason for this. Has your joint pain been documented due to iron overload?
