E. coli in the lungs05/01/2007 |
What or how can you cure ecoli in your lungs this question is for my mom who is very sick and it appears that the medical place she is at does not know how is this disease treatable or how can you cure this please respond
E coli is a bacterial that lives in your gastrointestinal tract. It can cause pneumonia. It is treated with antibiotics. The infection is generally very responsive to antibiotics. However, a person can get sick from the severe sepsis caused by the infection and require organ support (for example, a ventilator) until things get better. This can take weeks.
