Arthritis and Rheumatism

Muscle relaxants and arthritis

I have RA and possibly Fibromyalgia. I fell over the stairs and hurt my shoulder. My doctor gave me muscle relaxers to take for my shoulder. I have been taking them for a few days now. This morning I feel really good. Dare I say that I have no pain except for my shoulder that I hurt when I fell. This is my first day feeling so good and I hope it lasts. Do muscle relaxants normalcy help with RA or Fibromyalgia? Is there a chance that that medication but my RA into remission?

Muscle relaxants usually help with fibromyalgia rather than rheumatoid arthritis. Therefore your pains may be more due to fibromyalgia rather than rheumatoid arthritis. Muscle relaxants do not put RA into remission.
