Root canals for 7 year children05/14/2007 |
Are root canals done on seven year children first teeth?
Yes, it is sometimes necessary to remove the nerves and blood vessels (pulp tissue) from inside a child's primary (baby) teeth in order to keep them until they fall out naturally. Baby teeth are important to hold space for permanent teeth to follow, to enable the child to chew effectively, and for esthetics.
