Surgery and pregnancy

05/21/2007

Question:

I had nose surgery two weeks ago and just found out today that I am about a month pregnant. I put under during my surgery and took some vicodin and atibiotics afterwards. I`m terrified that I`ve majorly hurt the baby. Please let me know if i should be extremely concerned.

Answer:

The answer to the question about if there is any harm to the baby depends on what antibiotic you were given and what medications you were given by anesthesia. The vicodin is safe to use in pregnancy.
