Missing lateral incisors
My son is 18 months onld and doesn`t have his top lateral incisors. It doesn`t appear they are there. Should I see a dentist? Any advise on this will be helpful.
Thanks for the question. The eruption pattern of baby teeth can vary significantly from child to child, so the fact that your son doesn't have his lateral incisors is not immediate cause for concern. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) recommends that all children have a dental visit by age 1 year, so I think seeing and developing a recall program with a dentist is a great idea for your 18-month-old.
Hope this helps.
