A stented renal artery has restenosised.06/05/2007 |
How long can I safely wait to have the artery restented? What physical symptoms can I expect to feel if any? Ultra sound results indicate "severe restenosis". I am scheduled for a vaction and want to wait 6 weeks to have another stent placed inside the blocked stent. What are your suggestions?

I would suggest a referral to a vascular surgeon. Placing another stent within a stent is likely not the answer.
