Something left in gum after loose tooth out05/30/2007 |
My 6 year old`s front teeth have been very loose and I pulled them both out last night. They came out easily with a little twist. However, there is something hanging out of the gum. It is red and fleshy. It wiggles and doesn`t hurt. I have older children and have never seen anything like this before. What is it?
The tissue you see is probably some pulp tissue that was inside the root of the baby tooth that you extracted. See a dentist if it doesn't disappear in a couple of days.
