Intense pinching07/05/2007 |
For 2 weeks I have been dealing with pain in my left leg. When the pain first began it was on the top of my foot where a vein seemed to be poking out of my skin. The pain has moved to include my ankle and at times the pain is unbearable. Now I have a sharp pinching pain behind my knee. It seems to come and go about every 10 minutes. I have used ice at times but it seems to do nothing. Please help because I am only 24 and this is driving me crazy. Thank you for your assistance.
Characteristic of the pain sounds to be more neuropathic rather than musculoskeletal. You may have a pinched nerve in your lower back due to a slipped disc or soft tissue/muscle inflammation. Did you have any trauma or injury to your lower back within the past 2-3 weeks?
You should seek evaluation by your physician for a more accurate diagnosis.
