Am I at risk for high blood preasure?07/05/2007 |
The other day I had my blood preasure taken. It was 110/90. The EMT told me the lower number was too high. I had also symptoms of dizziness, light headed and nausea. Also I have been feeling very tired and sleeping a lot. I am 32 yrs old and weigh 145 lbs.
The diastolic blood pressure is less of a predictor of cardiovascular risk than the systolic pressure, and a systolic pressure of 110 is excellent. In your case, I would not be overly concerned about the risk of developing hypertension.
It is more likely that your symptoms of fatigue and lightheadedness are related to low blood pressure. If you are not very active, regular exercise may help.
