Vaginal discharge

07/23/2007

Question:

hello

is vaginal discharge is normal during intercourse. and vaginal discharge also continue even whn i thnk abt physical relation .even in thnking is it normal ?

Answer:

Vaginal discharge can be present in varying amounts in normal conditions.  Some women have a noticeable amount of discharge due to hormonal changes at certain times of the menstrual cycle, or brought on by the lubrication that is a normal part of the female sexual response.  Discharge is generally only worrisome if it is accompanied by symptoms of infection such as itching, burning or an unpleasant odor.

Sexual arousal in women generally includes increased blood flow to the genital area, which causes both a swelling of genital tissue and lubrication of the vagina.  While some women require manipulation of the genital area to become aroused, others may experience signs of arousal with thoughts or fantasies alone.
