Very easy bruising on forearm08/03/2007 |
I have what looks like to me blood brsies on my fore arms. I can just touch my arm and it looks like it could bleed and stays that way for weeks. I`m 57 no high blood pressure. I have seen this in people in their 60&70`s. I don`t have enough b-12 and am getting shots. That seemed to help for a while ,but has gotten bad again. What causes this? It looks terrible. thanks
Easy bruising can be signs of blood problems or is seen with loss of skin strength (senile purpura). I assume your doctor has shown that your platelets and clotting studies are normal. However, if you are also bleeding abnormally, a blood specialist should see you.
