Throbbing behind the ear08/06/2007 |
How do you stop throbbing behind the ear? I have had throbbing for a five day period. It is enough to drive a person crazy, what can I do at home to help? I have used a hot pack and it does give some relief.I have no medical insurance, and cannot afford to miss work.
It is difficult to make an assessment in an individual case without having all the data.
In a case of throbbing behind the ear, it is important to determine if it is a problem of the ear itself or outside the ear. Throbbing can be the sign of an infection, like an abscess, or it can be due to an inner ear problem. If the symptoms are severe and persist, you will need an examination by an internist or an ear, nose and throat specialist.
