White gums09/06/2007 |
Is it normal for gums around stainless steel crowns to be white after healing?
It's not unusual for the gums to be white soon after a stainless steel crown has been seated. The color of the gums should return to normal after a few hours. It's also possible for some excess cement to be exposed along the gum line. Have your child examined by the dentist who placed the crown to be sure.
