Throat swelling09/13/2007 |
After eating dairy products my sons girlfriend experiences some swelling that makes it difficult for her to breathe. What could cause this? Sometimes she also has hives.
The symptoms you are describing are likely due to food allergies. A response to some foods can cause itching, swelling of the lips and throat, and difficulty breathing. An evaluation by an allergist and an Ear Nose and Throat physician would be highly recommended. Until then, complete avoidance of the offending food products is advised.
