Excessive sweating at age 7410/23/2007 |
I am 74 years old and did not have hot flashes. I had a hystorectomy at 47 and I took estrogen for 5 years. I sweat without hot flashes. I am just suddenly wet with perspiration and at night I am soaking wet when I awake.
It would be highly unlikely that you are having menopausal hot flashes at this time in life. There are other medical conditions and medications that can cause sweating. It would be good to review your symptoms and medications with your physician to see if a cause can be identified.
