Tongue candidiasis09/26/2007 |
I was told I have candidiasis on my tongue. My question is, will candida cause lumps on the tongue? The oms told me I have nothing to worry about but a day or 2 later the inflamed area seemed to have gotten bigger.
Have you ever heard of that happening?
Candida can cause a variety of findings on the tongue depending on your immune system, the use of antibiotics or steroids, etc. These can range from sores on the tongue, to a swollen red tongue, to a white film, to small bumps. There are other things that can cause bumps and lumps and you should pursue further medical care if the condition is worsening or not responding to treatment.
