Iron deficient anemia10/26/2007 |
My question is a more technical/"splitting hairs" kind of question. With Iron deficient anemia, I understand that you will have a low hemaglobin content because iron is involved in the synthesis of Hb.
Does this mean you will have a decrease in red blood cells as well? or Will you have some `partially functioning red blood cells`with less hemaglobin? Thank you.
The total number of red blood cells are decreased.
