Right upper quadrant pain and IBS
I have had increasing right side/upper quadrant pain x 9 months. All of my testing has come back negative. I was recently given a diagnosis of IBS. Does IBS usually cause pain only on one side? Can the pain be in the right upper quadrant into the chest/shoulder blader area?
IBS can present in many different ways and no two people are the same. Pain can be isolated to one side of the body. But given your shoulder pain, you may need to ensure you had tests to rule out gallbladder, liver problems.
