High and low blood pressure10/08/2007 |
I have high blood pressure and taking Coversyl and Tiazac. My doctor wanted my to take my own blood pressure at home. I have been taking it for a few days. A cople of times it has gone down to 115/65. How low can the numbers go before I have to get it looked into? When is it to low?
It is normal for blood pressure to vary during the day. It is not known what the optimal blood pressure is for a person.
In epidemiological studies, any increase in systolic blood pressure (the upper number) above 115 was associated with increased risk for stroke and heart disease.
In your case, as long as you feel well, your blood pressure is not too low.
