Spreading Knee Pain01/30/2008 |
I now often experience pain in my knee which after a while spreads to my ankle and then to the front underneath of my foot then to the back of my heel. I have trouble walking with this pain. It starts in one leg and then the other starts paining and eventually both are sore. What might be the causes of this pain and what can I do to ease the pain or stop it completely?
The kinds of symptoms you describe require an examination to determine the cause. It could be a nerve or muscle problem, it could be related to the way you walk or stand or may be related to a systemic condition. Pain is the only way our bodies have to tell us something is wrong. I would recommend you make an appointment with your family doctor who can do an examination and suggest a specialist if need be.
