Lacunar infarct in left centrum semiovale
What kinds of signs and symptoms might manifest; specifically signs symptoms that mimic Parkinson disease esp right upper extremity tremors involving my left hand? Thank you.
The centrum semiovale is a large region of "white matter". It is composed of the fibers carrying information to and from the surface of the brain (cortex) to the deeper structures of the brain and to the spinal cord/nerves. It is unlikely that a small lacunar infarct in this location would lead to upper extremity tremors, but not impossible. Unfortunately, I cannot provide more information given what you have provided. It would be good to discuss this with your local neurologist.
