Size of abnormal signal intensity10/22/2007 |
I had findings of a 4 mm rounded area of abnormal signal intensity within the deep white matter of the left frontal lobe. also samll vessel ischemic disease. i am 47 white female. my doctor has not sent me to specialist and no new meds. should I be concerned?
I would recommend referral to a specialist to determine the nature of the 4mm white matter abnormal signal. The list of causes is large and mostly benign. However, we need to make sure to exclude important causes like stroke etc.
