WHAT IS THE SAFEST WAY FOR AN MG PATIENT TO GIVE BIRTH,VAGINAL BIRTH OR CAESAREAN, AND IF CAESAREAN WHAT KIND OF ANAESTHETIC IS BEST?
There are no hard and fast answers. It is best that you have your neurologist discuss things with your OB. If your MG is well controlled, they may decide that vaginal delivery is best.If you do need a C-section, have your neurologist talk with your anesthesiologist. A spinal anesthetic (epidural) would be the likely recommendation.
Thanks for your question.
