Arthritis and Rheumatism
Swelling and rheumatoid arthritis
I a flaring with my RA. I have more pain then usual but still not as much as I had before with a flare. But I have a lot of swelling. I have tried every thing to get the swelling down but it won`t go down. Is the swelling worse then the pain and stiffness for causing joint damage in RA? In other words should I be concerned if I can`t get the swelling down?
Swelling usually reflects overgrowth of the joint lining cells, which can lead to joint damage. It should be controlled. Why should you have to get the swelling down? Your doctor should work on it.
