Red sore on 9 month`s tongue11/08/2007 |
Today I noticed a red spot (looks like a sore) on my 9 month old baby`s tongue. Apart from that he seems very normal although I noticed that he is not showing much interest in food that he shows ususally. I don`t know when it happened. I am really worried. What could this red spot be?
Without being able to see the spot directly, there are too many possibilities for me to cover. If the spot persists for more than a week to 10 days or if it appears to be enlarging, I would suggest that you get an appointment with a pediatric dentist as soon as conveniently possible. The likelihood that it is something serious is small, but it is better to be safe.
