There is a condition termed the daytime frequency syndrome of childhood, which is most common in boys. Typically these children have sudden onset of frequency during the day, no incontinence during the day, no burning with urination, no urinary tract infection, and do not get up at night to urinate. It typically resolves without treatment. Because there is no anatomic abnormality, it is considered psychological.
