Monocytes12/05/2007 |
During a recent blood test my level of Monocytes was flaged as H (11.6) normal range low (2) high (10.0). My doctor did not mention any concern but would like further information. Thank you
It is difficult to say anything with limited information, but in general, monocytes are elevated as a result of acute inflammation or a reaction to something by the body - allergic, acute illness, etc. This by itself is very nonspecific and does say anything other than there may be an ongoing inflammatory or reactive process. I would encourage you to talk to your doctor to get more information on how this relates, if at all, to your health.
