what can cause a discolured and swollen gum where a baby tooth has come out?
It may be that the permanent tooth is trying to erupt or having a hard time erupting. If it has been more than a couple of weeks since the baby tooth came out and the swelling/discoloration is getting bigger, go visit your dentist or a pedodontist, if you have one around where you are living. Sometimes we need to do minor surgery at the gum level to help the tooth erupt.
