Itching areola01/18/2008 |
Hello, I have discovered an itchy circle, about the size of a dime on my right areola. It appears redder than the nearby tissue, itches, and is a little scaly to touch. I have been using good moisturizers on this patch for about 2 weeks with no improvement.
What do you suggest?
You should see a dermatologist or a breast specialist for a possible biopsy. This is likely benign, but there is a nipple condition that is related to breast cancer (Paget's disease of the nipple) that could look like what you are describing.
