Hemophilia and Inherited Bleeding Disorders |
Pregnancy and von Willebrands diease12/21/2007 01:31AM |
can having von willwebrands diease have anything to do with not being able to concevie a child? i was just wondering.
According to literature from the National Hemophilia Foundation, a number of women with inherited bleeding disorders have reported difficulty in getting pregnant. There has been speculation that such problems could possibly be caused by the prolonged heavy menstrual periods that are associated with bleeding disorders. These women may also be on hormone pills to help control their bleeding, and this would interfere with getting pregnant. However, as far as I know, no one has done research on this problem.
