Permanent or baby01/02/2008 |
my 8 yr old daughter`s first top bicuspid tooth has fallen out, and is bleeding quite a bit. Do these teeth grow in permanent or is this her baby tooth? What should i do about the hole where her tooth used to be? Call the dentist, or will a tooth grow in there?
It sounds like one of your child's primary (baby) molars has fallen out. This could be normal but if it is lost prematurely, a space maintainer to hold space for the permanent tooth to follow may be needed. It is a good idea to have your child examined by a dentist for a complete check-up and to answer specific questions about her oral health.
