Menstrual abnormalities01/09/2008 |
hi iam 27 year old and now have amenorrhra for 3 months and 1 half year back i have a test of FSH and LH which say they are under normal limits at that time i have normal healthy weight and then i year back i got marrried and have started weight gain i have gain almost 15 kgs b/c i was eating alot of fatty food .and then problem in mensualcycle get started .they become irregular( my noraml cycle was 35 day and 3 daysbleeding duration )some time it is 40 days some time 45 day some time more then that. bleed for 2 days some time less then that .then i constult my family doctor she order some test reports r my fsh/lh ratio was 2/1 and ultrasound was normal she told me b/c i have alot of weight gain in very short duration (1 year)that is why i have menstual symtoms and also this abnormal ratio of fsh and lh is also due to weight gain . suggested weight loss for me then in 3 months i have loss 6 kgs then i have normal menstual cycle but after that idid not have menses since 3 months i do pregnency test but it was negative and having thick vaginal secretions and in morning i have abdomen tenderness which is relive my movement i past 1 year i have history yeast infection in vagina that could be treated by overcounter drug what should i do for these things what r my possible options of dignosis?
There are a number of possible causes for irregular periods:
- pregnancy
- abnormal hormone level
- infection
- rapid weight gain
- polycystic ovarian syndrome
- thyroid problems.
Follow up with your regular physician and talk about possible causes and management.
