Healthy Mouth, Healthy Kids

My 11 year old is missing permanent teeth

I was shocked when I went to the dentist and he showed me my daughters x-ray and proceeded to tell me that she was "missing" 4 of her adult teeth...What are my options now??

There are several options to consider when permanent teeth are missing. The best option is often to close the spaces orthodontically. Another is to wait and hope that the baby teeth will stay and function like permanent teeth. Sometimes that occurs, but many times they eventually come out and must be replaced with implants or bridges. This is a good time to consult with an orthodontist for a plan specific to your daughter's situation.
