Lump on inside of cheek01/24/2008 |
I have a lump or bump on the upper inside of my right cheek. It's above my teeth, so I was unable to bite it. It's the same color as my cheek, but suddenly appeared 5 day ago. I thought it was a large canker sore, but salt has no effect on it. It's only sore when I talk too much or play with it. It's approximately 1/4" wide and sticks out 1/8" from my cheek. It had a white spot on it, which made me believe that it was a canker sore, but it doesn`t hurt like one.
You may have bitten your cheek or had a reaction to some food or other substance. The bump might also be an irritation fibroma that has been gradually enlarging for sometime, but was just noticed recently. If it does not heal/disappear in two weeks, consult your local dentist.
