Should we Use Aricept01/22/2008 |
I am a friend and take all necessary steps to insure the best care for a person whom I have known for 35 years. She turned 101 in September and takes no medication and has had no major problems besides haivng 24 care she is healthy. Recently she does not sleep and the doctor indicates dementia. He suggests Aricept. I wonder as the side effects indicate insomnia. Should we consider the drug?
Aricept may help, but should be considered by a specialist.
