Pain/Swelling in left shin, ankle, foot01/22/2008 |
For about 1-1/2yrs. I`ve had swelling/redness in my left leg from shin to toes, most days. Also, both shins are extremely sensitive...feeling pain if slightly touched. I`ve been told the pulses in my legs are ok, and that the shin sensitivity/pain is probably arthiritis. Much gratitude for any thoughts/advice you can give me.
This may be a sign of longstanding underlying venous valve problems. I would suggest asking your doctor to order a venous duplex which will look at how the valves are functioning. You may also want to try knee high support stockings to see if they help. Good luck!
