Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome or Scar Tissue01/31/2008 |
I had carpal tunnel surgery. Then, 5 weeks later I developed terrible pain. I was told 4 months later I had RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome). My Question: could I have scar tissue in my hand? I had an MRI and it didn`t show anything. Please help.
RSD and scar tissue are two different issues. RSD could be as a results of a nerve injury, and scar tissue could cause pulling on the nerve and that in turn will cause pain.
You need to be seen by a specialist to make that distinction.
