Urinary and Genital Disorders (Children)

Fatty deposit top of penis

I have a 23 month old uncircumcised son. His forskin appeared to have a fatty deposit beneath the skin where the foreskin meets the glans. Just recently while bathing this area appeared to have a small hole in it and the fatty material came out. It was pale yellow in color almost like the inside of a piece of corn. The fatty deposit beneath the foreskin is now gone. Is this normal and do I need to be concerned?? P.S. This does not seem to bother my son to any degree.

It is a normal physiological event. The fatty deposit is probably dead skin cells that build up under the foreskin. The collection helps the foreskin separate off the head of the penis (glans) naturally.
