Brain Atrophy, Dementia, and Alzheimer`s
My mom is 78 years old. She has been diagnosed with Alzheimer`s dementia and brain atrophy. Oh yeah, she is also having mini strokes in the brain. Last time she had a cat scan done they said it was kind of cloudy. Now lately she has been saying her head hurts. Could this be from the mini stroks or some other problem like the brain shrinking even more? Should I start to worry that she will not be with us much longer?
Thank you for visiting NetWellness. Atrophy or ministrokes are not commonly associated with head pain. Only a health professional performing a thorough clinical exam is able to evaluate your mother's head pain and determine the cause. Feel free to write back if you still have questions or need an explanation.
