Urinary Disorders |
Burning after urination-female02/08/2008 |
I have experienced foul smelling urine this month. At first it was cloudy and dark. I increased my water intake and now it is clear/colorless but still smells. I used to work in a hospital and it literally smells like unclean genital area, but I shower sometimes twice a day, I am very clean. Some days I have no burning/tingling after urination, most days I do, and this sensation lasts sometimes as long as a few hours after urination. My flow is strong and regular, and my urine output is normal for my increased fluid intake. At first, this problem mimicked a UTI, accompanied by frequent urination/low urine output. However, it has been a month, I do not get UTI`S frequently, maybe three in my life and they didn`t have to be treated professionally (just water and cranberry juice) and sexual intercourse does not play a role this time, unlike the others. The only change I have had is my diet is now all organic/natural products. It seems that if I go back to my old eating habits, food high in sodium/fat/sugar that the problem gets worse. I am drinking about 20 8oz glasses a day of water now, sometimes more! I also have headaches, low back pain, but I have associated the headaches as side effects from my birth control, and quitting smoking at the new year, and I feel as though my new exercise routine is to blame for the low back pain. Please advise.
