Buspar and Effexor02/19/2008 |
my doctor has me on 75 mg of Effexor and 10mg of Buspar, twice daily. Is this combination of medicine okay?I was diagnosed with panic disorder and GAD.
This is not an uncommon combination for these disorders. In fact buspar augmentation of antidepressants in depression has been studied in STAR-D*, the largest NIMH study on the topic. Doses of both agents can continue to be adjusted based on response.
