First loose tooth02/15/2008 |
my 5 year old daughter had her first loose tooth. it seems to bother her, so i pulled it out. it came out so easily but some root of the tooth was left behind. what will i do? does she need a surgery?
This is not a big problem. What you see may be part of the permanent tooth that is beginning to erupt or it may be a small part of the baby tooth that you removed. If it is the latter, it will probably dissolve as the permanent tooth erupts. This is a good time for your daughter to visit a dentist to evaluate that tooth and for a comprehensive examination.
